On Emotional Habits…
Pay attention to how long you stay in frustration, anger, or tension.
Not because you shouldn't feel it, but because it's worth noticing when it becomes your default.
Could staying triggered become a habit like anything else?
Sometimes it’s easier to stay in a negative state than move toward accountability. Sometimes it feels safer to hold on than let go.
Your thoughts shape how you experience each moment. If that's true, why not practice finding a better one?
At the end of the day, review your experience. Ask yourself: What happened? What can I learn from it? What could I do differently next time?
Not to judge yourself, but to broaden your perspective and become more intentional about how you're being.
The goal isn't to deny reality.
It's to increase your capacity to return to yourself more quickly.
Emotional regulation isn't something you either have or don't.
It's a habit worth practicing.
